All the streets in Valdebebas have sound-absorbent pavements on their carriageways. This is achieved by using discontinuous asphalt micro-agglomerates in the wearing course. These materials achieve reductions in vehicle rolling noise of between 2 and 5 dB compared to traditional materials. It is no less important to point out that discontinuous micro-agglomerates are especially adapted to the particularities of urban traffic, also presenting superior performance to conventional asphalt agglomerates in aspects such as skid resistance, durability and surface drainability.
On the other hand, in Valdebebas, materials with sustainability and responsible wood management certificates, among others, have been used.
